Lavumisa is under the Shiselweni administrative region and Somntongo Inkhundla. Lavumisa is one of Eswatini oldest but the smallest town, located in the South East tip of the country, in the Shiselweni District. It is a border town that links Eswatini and Kwazulu Natal, in South Africa. It is about 175 km from Mbabane, the capital of Eswatini, and 70 km from the sugar producing town Big Bend. The Lavumisa town covers an area of about 101.01 km².
